Between a Hollywood superstar and a voice actor, the latter actually works harder. It is quite difficult for a voice actor to put feelings and emotions to what he is reading, all the while knowing that he’s not seen on screen. He must get into the skin of the character and pump life into the dialogues. It is in this area where voice over training is essential.

Voice over artists are able to master the craft of voice acting and find good employment in this field by going through voice over training. Thousands of animated TV shows, cartoons, radio advertisements, web shows and movies are produced on a regular basis. Moreover, each movie/TV show has a cast of more than 20-30 characters. There are worldwide opportunities galore for a voice actor.

Voice over training course – the fundamental skills that you ought to possess

One of the most important tools of the trade is diction. Perfect enunciation is required from the student, hence, it is necessary for him to go to speech classes to master his diction. Every voice over actor has two roles to fulfill – “lending voice” and “acting.” This means that acquiring a perfect diction is not enough to be able to join a voice over training, enrolling in an acting course is also necessary for the student.

What does a voiceover training course teach?

The student learns how to evaluate and interpret commercial copy for announcer and real-person roles. He also comes to understand how to interpret narrative copy and gets the hang of technical copy as well. Students learn to coordinate the mind, mouth and voice effectively, so that they may be able to sound really true to the personality they are playing. Taking direction is also learned by the student.

Reading, recording, play back, and listening are done continuously in an excellent voice talent training course. This is done in order for students to get it correctly. Students learn techniques such as inflection, timing and articulation. They perform warm-ups and vocal exercises as well. They understand how to maintain their voice fitness. When students are already half-way into the voice over training course, they become skilled at using and adjusting pitch, tone, volume and delivery speed to cater to numerous types of jobs.

Once a student completes the training, he learns how to market his skills, tap proper contacts, and land voice over work. Instructors of the voice over program also help them in creating a voice over demo, which would become part of their portfolio. An opportunity to experience working in a real studio is offered in a solid voice over training course for students. They also learn what the do’s and don’ts are whenever they are behind the microphone or in a sound booth.

Selecting a voice over training course

There are two aspects to voice training. Students who are interested in selling must opt for a commercial voice over course. Commercial voice overs are used for selling. Some of the areas that call for this type of voice overs are radio ads, TV advertisements, phone and other media features. Selling skills are also covered by a voice over course considering that all commercial voice overs sell a service or a product. Acting skills are not covered by this course. Students who are interested in showbiz must decide on a TV and movie voice over and dubbing program. Lip-synching is required by such courses, hence, the voice over talent also needs to master acting skills.

To end, all the world’s a stage and we must play a part. So if you would like to be a voice talent, and you want to learn how to improve your voice, better enroll in a reputable voice actor training program.

What’s taught in a voiceover training course

Assessing and interpreting commercial copy for announcer and real-person roles are learned by the student. He also learns how to interpret narrative copy and gets the hang of technical copy as well. The course teaches the student how to proficiently coordinate mind, mouth and voice so that he can sound true to his character. The student also learns how to take direction.

Reading, recording, play back, and listening are done continuously in an excellent voice talent training course. This is done in order for students to get it correctly. Students warm-up and perform vocal exercises and learn strategies like timing, inflection, and articulation. They figure out how to maintain their vocal fitness. When students are already half-way into the voice over training program, they become competent at using and adjusting pitch, tone, volume and delivery speed to cater to various types of jobs.

Once a student completes the training, he learns how to market his skills, tap proper contacts, and land voice over work. Instructors of the voice over program also help them in creating a voice over demo, which would become part of their portfolio. A solid voice over training program gives students the opportunity to work in a real studio and understand what they must and shouldn’t do in a sound booth and when behind the microphone.

Selecting a voice over training course

There are two aspects to voice training. A commercial voice over course must be chosen by students who are interested in selling. Commercial voice overs are employed for selling. Some of the areas that call for this type of voice overs are radio ads, TV advertisements, phone and other media features. The voice over course also addresses selling skills because all commercial voice overs sell a product or a service. Acting skills are not covered by this course. Students who are interested in showbiz must decide on a TV and movie voice over and dubbing course. Such courses require lip-synching, and so the voice over actor has to learn acting skills too.

To end, all the world’s a stage and we must play a part. So, if you want to play your part as a voice actor, enroll for a well-known voice actor training program and learn how to raise your voice.

Yamaha is considered to be one of the best producers of musical instruments, and over the years has definitely moved to the top position, in the guitar manufacturing sector too. It is well known that, Yamaha started with the production of guitars during the 1940′s and from there on it has managed to satisfy the needs of all kinds of guitar players – from beginners to professionals.

Debut of Yamaha Electric Guitars

Electric guitars were introduced in the year 1964, and Yamaha managed to make a debut in the year 1966, with the launch of Yamaha Electric Guitars. Yamaha managed to release another model of electric guitar in the same year known as, the Yamaha Electric Bass Guitar. Thus it was during the year 1964, Yamaha Electric Guitars made their debut in the world of electrifying music.

Climbing the Top of the Ladder

In the mid 1970′s, Carlos Santana – a legendary guitar artist started using them, and made sure to spread the world with the facts that attracted him towards these.

The unique features and the superb quality provided by these guitars from Yamaha, made every popular brand in America to turn their heads towards it. Yamaha Electric Guitar – SG2000 was a model that was designed with inputs from the great Carlos Santana, it had a through neck construction and also the T-Cross System and Sustained Plate – the patent for the same were owned by Yamaha. Yamaha Electric Guitars have sealed their position at the top, as many other legends signed an endorsement with their firm. Here is the list of those legends that teamed up with Yamaha Steve Cropper, Carlos Rios, Bob Marley and Phil Manzanera. Yamaha has managed to satisfy the needs of its versatile list of customers, by producing guitars that were used by the great guitar innovators, to guitars that were used by the beginner.

Yamaha’s Iron Hold on the Top Position

Just like the Yamaha Electric Guitar – SG2000 in the mid 1970′s, the new Yamaha Broad Bass guitars turned the music world upside down during the year 1977.

Once again Yamaha made the statement very clear that, they are strong contenders for the top position in guitar manufacturing with the launch of their unique “Broad Bass” or “BB1200″ bass guitars. The peerless build quality combined with the inherent advantages in terms of stability made them an instant hit in the music world. In the early 1980′s Paul McCartney played the BB1200 of Yamaha and from there on there have been great session players like Abraham Laboriel, Nathan East, Billy Sheehan, John Patitucci and John Myung who are still linked with Yamaha’s world of Bass.

The specialty of Yamaha Electric Guitars is that, all the inputs and customizations that came through the great legendary guitar players have been implemented even in those guitars that are made especially for the beginners. This shows how Yamaha has managed to satisfy the customer needs, right from the beginners to the experts in the field of music.

Cleveland, OH (PRWEB) January 19, 2012

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum is proud to present a major exhibition devoted to a truly unique American rock and roll band, Grateful Dead: The Long, Strange Trip. The exhibit will open to the public on Thursday, April 12, as a part of the 2012 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Week events. The Mickey Hart Band, featuring the Grateful Dead drummer, will perform on the Rock Hall?s Main Stage for an exhibit opening event on Wednesday, April 11.

?The Grateful Dead is a band that is identified with a remarkable era in American history, and, inasmuch as they embody that era, their work is timeless,? says Jim Henke, vice president of Exhibits and Curatorial Affairs. ?They?ve inspired many performers and bands, but none has exhibited their musical depth and cultural resonance. In a 30-year career, this group wrote their own rules and created a community unlike any band before or since.?

Grateful Dead: The Long, Strange Trip explores the band from a non-linear point of view. Individual sections within the exhibit will be devoted to Grateful Dead as a recording group and a touring band, the fans who devotedly followed them, tapers and fellow travelers (people who were important to the band). It will include finished and working manuscripts for classic songs, handwritten notes from legendary taper Dick Latvala, artifacts from original sound designer Owsley ?Bear? Stanley, and promoter Bill Graham?s Father Time robe and Grateful Dead Hotline answering machine.

Art and design have always been closely associated with Grateful Dead, and this exhibit will include an unprecedented collection of original artwork that is immediately recognizable from the band?s album covers and posters. It will feature numerous instruments used by the Grateful Dead over the years, including keyboards, drums, percussion, guitars and elements from the legendary Wall of Sound PA system. The Grateful Dead Archive at the University of California-Santa Cruz has loaned a significant number of items from their extraordinary collection, which will open to the public in Spring 2012.

Additional highlights include:
